Secure Your Future
Adiron uses middleware products from vendors of the Common Object
Request
Broker Architecture (CORBA), which is a standard of the
Object
Management Group, Inc. (OMG). This middleware standard facilitates
the creation of standard component based solutions.
It is a wonderfully exciting time in the field of distributed object
middleware development. With CORBA based solutions you can get such
capabilities
as interoperation between heterogeneous platforms (Sun, HP, IBM, Unix,
Linux, WinNT/95/98), integration of legacy systems with new technology,
and transparency of service location.
Benefits of CORBA
Employing CORBA not only gives you all the great benefits of the
distributed
object paradigm, but gives you a major feature of a distributed
security
framework.
In traditional two tier client-server designs, if security was an
issue,
security policy had to be built directly into the client and server
applications.
If an organization's security policy changed, the application may have
to go through a costly retooling, even if its basic functionality did
not
change.
With implementations of the CORBA security specification and
Adiron's
special handling of the management of CORBA security (in planned future
products), components may be separated from the security policy. Both
component
functionality and security policy are separated so that the security
policy
may be changed, but the application does not have to be retooled. This
presents a major cost benefit to your organization.
Migration to CORBA
Adiron can help you bring your existing system into the world of
distributed
object computing using Object Request Brokers. Adiron can help you wrap
legacy systems, such as databases, with CORBA object interfaces and
deploy
them onto the network. Adiron can also help you design brand new
distributed
applications.
Security Infrastructure
Adiron can realize you security enabled distributed system with several
internal tools and products. These tools and products (currently in
development)
allow us to define your security policy and enforce it.
Adiron is currently developing infrastructure components to give you
a security enhanced system. Such tools are:
-
Security Policy Modeling and Composition Tool
-
Security Policy Development Kit
-
Security Policy Server
-
Security Privilege Server
Custom Security Integration
Adiron can design and help you implement your system using our security
tools and components to enhance your system or applications with CORBA
and its security capability.
Security Policy
Adiron can investigate your distributed system security needs and write
the specific security policies to help you on the way to a more secure
system.
